Description: Have you tried finger coiling? It can be tough to get the hang of so I wanted to show some slow-mo clips of the process. It's one of those things that's simple but also not simple 🤣 Here's how I did it and some tips: Apply curl cream or leave-in to clean, wet hair. I used the Cantu Avocado Curl Activator Cream amzn.to/3uqwvwS Section hair and apply a gel. I used the Kinky Curly Custard: amzn.to/376Ax4A Brush through the section to ensure it's smoothed out and tangle free. Look at where the hair naturally separates and clumps, and pick up a section of hair. Wrap it around your finger right at the root and twirl it in the direction your hair curl goes. Scrunch each section with a hair towel or your hands. I use the Hair Repear towel: bit.ly/ShopHairRepear Diffuse until dry & fluff. TIPS: Add water as you go Use a brush to make sure the strand is tangle-free Use products with lots of slip Pick up small sections, but not too small or it's hard to twirl Have gel on your fingers to help the hair glide If you can't tell what the curl direction is, try twirling one direction and if it doesn't curl try the other direction. Sometimes the curls won't spring up until scrunched Yes, this is a time-consuming technique. However it could save you time if you only wash your hair 1-2 times per week because it helps the curls last longer and stay in more defined clumps.
